This is one of our favorite restaurants and bars in the area. We love the seafood here and you really can't go wrong with anything you order. There is more formal dining inside and a more casual scene outside on the dock. During the evenings, the dock becomes more of a bar and a fun but crowded place to have some drinks, late night snacks and listen to music.

Bardea is a James Beard Finalist, fine dining restaurant in downtown Wilmington, Delaware about 35 minutes away from the hotels in Middletown. Bardea is about 5 minutes from Nikita and Ashley's home in Wilmington and is their absolute favorite restaurant. Everything on the menu is delicious and if you have the time while your in town we HIGHLY recommend making a reservation and having dinner here. If you decide to go, Nikita and Ashley would love to give you some recommendations off of their menu. The burrata pop tart is an absolute must.

They also have a steakhouse next door called Bardea Steak, which is wonderful, as well as Bardea Garden for a more casual outdoor dining experience or a great place to grab a few apps and drink.

Schaefer's Canal House is a good restaurant in the area. This is another good option for seafood and is typically a bit less busy than Chesapeake Inn.
